Overview

Migraine Weather Alert is a weather-based planning and self-tracking app. The app is designed to help users review local weather patterns, log symptom days, and optionally use premium features such as notifications, a 7-day outlook, and a 30-day review.

Information We Collect

• Location data you provide or approve so the app can show local weather and alert context.
• Symptom logs, daily check-ins, and app settings that you enter in the app.
• Subscription status information provided by Apple to determine premium access.
• Optional Apple Health sleep data if you explicitly grant access.
• Technical and forecast data returned by third-party weather and air quality services.

How We Use Information

• To show current and forecast weather conditions relevant to your chosen location.
• To generate pressure-related planning signals, risk summaries, and notification timing.
• To store your logs, daily check-ins, and preferences across app sessions.
• To enable premium features after a valid subscription is purchased or restored.
• To display optional Health-related context if you authorize Apple Health access.

iCloud and Device Storage

The app may store settings, migraine logs, and daily check-ins locally on your device. When iCloud is available, the app may also sync those records to your private iCloud account using CloudKit. This data is associated with your personal Apple account and is not published to other users.

Apple Health

Apple Health integration is optional. If you choose to enable it, the app reads sleep data only. The app does not write data to Apple Health. You can revoke access at any time from Apple Health or iOS Settings.

Third-Party Services

The app may request data from third-party providers, including:

• Open-Meteo for weather forecast data
• National Weather Service for public weather alerts
• AirNow for air quality data when available
• Apple services such as StoreKit, CloudKit, and Apple Health when you use those features

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your symptom logs or Health data with advertisers. Data may be processed by Apple and the third-party service providers listed above only as needed to operate app features you use.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored in the app remains available until you delete it. The app includes a control to clear local data and attempt to remove synced private iCloud records used by the app.

Children's Privacy

Migraine Weather Alert is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
